The Organ is an all female post-punk band from Vancouver, Canada. That has strong influences from bands like The Cure, Joy Division, and The Smiths. They personally give me a music boner. I'm such a sucker for that 80's sound.

This is Mors Syphilitica. This actually isn't one of my favorite songs by them but they have an interesting sound to them. The part I get a real kick out of is this is Eric Hammer's second band with is now ex-wife Lisa Hammer. Their first band being Requiem in White. For those of you that don't know who Eric Hammer is. He now goes by Doc Hammer and is co-creator of the cartoon show on Adult Swim, The Venture Brothers. Which is personally my favorite show.
Eric is the goofy tall guy trying to seem all dark playing the guitar. The vocalist, Lisa Hammer, actually plays one of the characters on the show Triana Orpheus. Triana is Dr. Orpheus's 17-year-old quasi-goth daughter.
If you know what Doc Hammer looks like and don't believe me you may recognize him better on the video below. "My Virgin Widows" is a better song then "Dreams of the Many" in my opinion, but I can't ever watch the video all the way through. I just laugh way too hard at it. It's great though.. I personally just giggle that he now has his own cartoon show. Who knew? ha ha. Gotta love that banjo!
